Why do we have prayer breakfasts, retreats, conferences, workshops, etc.... ? Events that are catered outside of the normal Bible Studies, church and revivals? Sometimes you just gotta get away and be renewed, revivied, refreshed, renewed, restored. We need a break from our familiar surroundings, we may need personal and intimate fellowship with our King, sometimes it may be a need to create new friendships, one may need to enhance, improve or renew their relationship with Christ. You may just need to give yourself a break, a spiritual spa so to speak. Or one may just need to relax, rest, renew. Whatever the reason, whoever the recipient, it is designed by God, with you and your needs in mind.
Jesus took His disciples away at times to spend special, "quality" time with them, take a break away from their norm. He would minister, teach, comfort and encourage them, ease their fears, calm their doubts. God may want to pull you out of that corner that life has backed you into, or reignite a fire that is now a flicker. Some gatherings/fellowships leave a lifelong impression. We all go away having learned something.
A time to gather the rose that have been beat, walked on, picked on and bruised.... to water, nurture, love, encourage, comfort and embrace one another. To let someone know that they can make it, they can walk with their head held high, low self esteem is elevated, hope is restored, confidence increased. Men of valor and victory, power and purpose, Women of grace and glory, integrity and inspiration. A place where diamonds that are sitting on the shelf begins to shine again. A space of time to forget the past, the pain, the problems. To be healed from the hurt, harm, abuse, lies and misunderstanding.
Up under all the makeup, the weave, the lips, hips and fingertips we have every woman imaginable in the house. Everyone is here that is on a divine appointment with destiny. So to you all, welcome, oh, yeah, we have a very special guest in the house, will you stand and help me to welcome our honored guest. He was born in a stable with animals that wasn't domestically trained, He had a contract on His life as a newborn, He knows everything, He is all powerful, He died a horrible death on a cross for a crime He didn't commit for a people that refuse to love him, they buried Him in a tomb but He got up, cause He said that he would, He has been known to walk through the walls, giving sight to the blind, unstopping the deaf ears and loosing the muted tongue. He does amazing things with water, He can walk on it, talk to it and make a storm sit still, he can even turn it into wine. He was wounded but He also is The healer, He is the Shepherd and the lamb, the Father and the Son. He is so high, yet so lowly. He knows how you feel because He has been there, He takes spit and mud and opens blind men eyes. He can heal the broken heart, discern your thoughts, read your mind and raise the dead to life. I don't know how but this guy took my black soul stained with sin, dipped in His red blood and I came out white as snow. He can take a brown cow, let him eat green grass and produces white milk. This man was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquity, He brought healing to me by the stripes He bore. Let us give it up for the King of glory, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, the Miracle worker, the Almighty God, Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jesus Christ, the anointed one.
He came because He heard you were going to be here and He comes bearing good gifts for you. See, you thought Pinki invited you but really, truthfully, He summoned you here, He changed and rearranged things going on, just to get you here. He wants you, His daughter, His son, to Rediscover Yourself!
**The infirmed woman in Matthew 9, had been sick and bowed over for 12 years, and it wasn't until she rediscovered herself and started saying to her sit-u-a-tion, IF I...
**Naomi, had left full and came back home a widow; empty, broke, bitter and discouraged, but she had to rediscover herself, when she seen that Ruth wasn't gona leave her, so that she can instruct her in how to conduct herself in the presence of Boaz....
**Tabitha, though she was dead, was given another chance at life to rediscover herself, and to say hey girl, your life has some value to it, look at the mourners...
**The woman at the well had seemingly blown it six times, till Jesus told her to Go, and in her going, she rediscovered herself, she didn't care about her painful past, they couldn't hold it over her head cause HE knew.
Esther, the queen of Persia, had forgot who she was, til Mordecai had to remind her....
Es 4:7 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them. 8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people. 9 And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai. 10 Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai; 11 All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days. 12 And they told to Mordecai Esther's words.
13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. 14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
God has more for you than what you have now.
He has something wonderful prepared for your future.
You can confront your Caines and Hamans, come to grips with your issues, and challenge the devil.
You can overcome anything, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony.
You can beat depression, oppression and suppression.
God's gona impregnate you again, He's gona birth vision inside you.
Touch God with intensity.
Cry out to the one who is able to dry your tears,
cry out and don't shut up,
cry out from your heart and spirit.
This time you can bruise the head of satan, you don't have to be pressed down another day.
You can still receive the promise of God, with or without a man, married or not, educated or not, rich or poor, black or white, just by having faith in God.
Depressed, broken spirit, broken heart? Go look in the mirror again and remember what God said to you, about you and Rediscover yourself. Take off the spirit of heaviness and put on the garment of praise. You were made to rise from the ashes!
Get up, fight back and move on.
You are greater than your past, your pain, your problem.
Only your Father can validate you properly, only He can determine your value, vision and virtue. Only He can also restore your value, vision and virtue. He wants you to know who you are; the Bride of Chrst.
Let God kiss you, shelter you, cover you, love you, bless you. Fall back in love with Jesus, love yourself, serve God, worship God, obey God.
Rediscover the more than a conqueror, rise up and fight back, people who rediscover who they are in God find out that they don't have to take that!!
Once you have rediscovered yourself, you can say like Paul: Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection;
Driving down the highway today in rush hour traffic:
The Lord began to minister to me, just thought you'd like to know what He had to say. Now you must understand, when He began to speak to my heart, tears began to fall, so glad that today the traffic was not as heavy as it usually is:
He said that I AM getting you ready. Everything that you are going through my child is according to MY plan. I AM the Lord God, see, I change not. When you don't hear MY voice, I want you to trust MY plan. Take MY word, take it one step at a time, you feel like giving up? I know you do, but trust MY plan, I AM the Lord, I see, I understand, I have a plan. MY plan is to prosper you, give you hope, give you a future. I hear you, I see you, I care, I feel what you feel. I know what you are going through. I AM the Lord God, I change not. One more step, one more breath, one more day. You are no stranger, you are MY child. Preparations that you go through are for you, for ME. The times when you feel all alone and those times when you are alone, remember, I will always be there, because I see, I hear, I care! I AM the Lord God, I change not. I formed the world, you and every thing that exist. Every test, trial, struggle and storm, I direct! I won't leave you, I AM the Lord God. Can't you hear ME softly calling you, wiping the tears from your eyes, I AM the Lord God, I AM never far from your side. As I opened the red sea for Moses and the children of Israel, I have performed for you as well, MY child if you would look back over that last ordeal you went through, yes, that one, remember how I brought you out of it, through it and now you don't even remember it, I AM the same God that will deliver you again. I AM unlike lovers of your yesterday, that claim to love you, walk away leaving you with tears in your eyes, your feet on the floor and your back against the wall, I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD! I WILL NEVER EVER LEAVE YOU, NOR FORSAKE YOU. I WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS. No place you can run nor can you hide from ME, I died so that I could have You with me throughout eternity. I AM just getting you ready for what I have had planned for you since the foundations of the world. Trust me, I understand, I know, I care.......GOD.
Learning to be submissive one to another and walk in the obedience of Christ.
Women who cannot or will not submit to her husband, if married, her pastor or her supervisor, can never submit to Jesus, she will try to buck a system that is not going to change.
What is submission?
What is position?
What is purpose? The object toward which one strives or for which something exists, an aim or a goal, determination, resolution. to intend to accomplish.
Before a woman can really submit, whether to her husband, her Lord, or her job, she must first know who she is and where her position is.
The purpose of the call to get into position is simple: someone is misplaced, out of line, out of order, out of control and almost out of time.
God sends the prophets in to declare His word and His word only, not mingled with heresay, guile or hypocrisy. We live in a day and time when prophets are not taken seriously or respected because we don't say what you want us to say, when you want us to say, you still think we are your friends. Prophets are the most misunderstood people on the planet, sometimes prophets don' t understand other prophets. Prophets do not, cannot, will not control what comes out of the mouth of God. We don't come declaring a house, a car, a husband or wife. All that will come if you just seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness then, all these other things will be added to you. You just have to live right.
A prophet is suppose to be one who will cry loud and spare not, one who will send a warning if needed, encourage the downhearted if needed, one who will bring a message of comfort and/or correction. We usually come with a confirmation of something going on in your life that will have you wondering who told us that. Someone anointed by God to speak to a root of cancer or high blood pressure, a wayward child... We should have the liberty to tell you that you are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, that you are blessed when you come and when you go. But you have to know who you are, who's you are and what your purpose is.
A woman that knows who she is, and what her purpose is don't worry about other women eyeballing her husband. She can walk in a room and turn heads and not feel intimidated. She can also walk in a room that goes silent and she keep walking because she knows who she is, who's she is and her purpose.
There was a woman in the Bible who was such a woman, so misunderstood, walked over, talked about, lied on, looked over not to mention friendless, sister had such a powerful purpose for her life, they still talking about her. They took the liberty of not even naming her in the scripture other than by "what" they thought she was, so for the sake of getting an understanding we'll just call her: VERONICA.
Many clergics even today say she was a prostitute, a harlot, a hooker, street walker, but the book just said she was a sinner. She was a woman of purpose and one with a purpose. A woman with a position while getting in position. One who didnt need to speak or defend herself, one who just wanted to fulfill her purpose in life, as the Master Himself spoke up and defended her.
Although you will find me here in Luke 7, Matthew and Mark talks about her, and John misses this anointing all together, but he only captures that of Mary, sister of Martha and Lazarus. Matthew and Mark only witness her pouring the oil on his head whereas Luke witnessed her at His feet. But they all recorded having being in Simon's house the Pharisee, you see. So why couldn't they all see the same thing? No doubt when she interrupted this dinner party, she left the board members somewhat discombobulated.
When you are in the right place fulfilling YOUR purpose Jesus Himself will speak up for you when your critics begin to whisper and complain. He will shut the Deacons up. Just by getting into position to fulfill your purpose you not only have an advocate to speak for you, but you have one who is the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega.
Her position was at the feet of Christ, her purpose to worship and prepare His body for the burying, for the cross, for death.
In this place she found healing, deliverance, gratitude, restoration, faith, victory, power, anointing, GRACE! She wasn't opting for a seat on the right or the left, at His feet was sufficient for her, those precious feet, that were only hours away from being nailed to the Cross of Calvary.
She knew her purpose, her reason for being born was to get to the feet of Christ and wash them with her tears and dry them with her hair. The same feet that would soon be headed up Galgotha, the same feet that would be nailed to an old rugged cross, the same feet that would one day come to carry you and your burdens. The same feet that no matter what would just keep walking, whipped and beat all night, but the feet that would keep walking.
We can't be out of place, you have to know where you're suppose to be and what you're suppose to be doing.
Analyze your own life, if things are not going just right, check the purpose, is what you doing in or out of your comfort zone?
When we know who we are, who's we are and our purpose then we won't be confused as to whether we are Adam or Eve!
When won't be like Cain and Abel fighting and devouring one another, envious and jealous, killing one another.
Women of Purpose....walk in victory, with their head held high, chest out, back bone straight and don't run. Women of purpose don't stand in the welfare line, the lend me, give me, let me borrow line. Women of purpose don't take hand outs, and if she is on food stamps and welfare she dont make her life on it, because she has found out that the promises of God brings much greater blessings.
Purpose will make you break what you thought was valuable, because you recognize the greater is at hand. Purpose!
Are there any women of purpose in the house?
You walking in your purpose will cause others to walk away from you, the woman did come out alone.
Purpose will cause you to give up the best you have, realizing that there is so much more to be gained.
Women of purpose who are in position aren't intimidated by indignation, religion, rhetoric or righteous anger.
There is a purpose and a position for everyone, there is no need to try to do what someone else is chosen to do, your purpose should keep you busy, if you're in the right position.
Once you get in that position, your purpose will take you places you never been, show you things you never seen and give you things you didn't have to work for. You'll live in houses you didn't build, eat from vines you didn't plant.
Fulfilling your purpose will have you doing things that are unorthodox like, coming out at night alone, or traveling across the country alone to a retreat.
You'll go places w/out an invitation and become the life of the party because you came there with a purpose to fulfill.
You'll go places where they won't even offer you food or drink and it will be ok, because you will be with the fountain of living water.
You'll upset the board members, because now all the attention is on you and what you are doing. This woman didn't go to no ordinary party. This was the boys night out, for men only! But this was her reason to be born, to break up this party with her tears, her presence, her worship. Yeah they questioned her presence and her motives for being here.
Her one purpose in life was to get to Simon's house and weep at the Saviors feet, and she had to be on time, something about purpose will put you where you need to be, when you need to be there. This was a time when timing was everything. Nowadays people think that they got time to burn and that time just waits for them, I beg to differ, go down to the local mortuary or the county morgue, and see all who ran out of time!
Two writers said she anointed his head, one say his feet, it was probably at his head that she recognized His authority, His headship and she humbled herself and fell at his feet and realized that these feet would soon bare a nail for her sins.
Jesus even humbled himself to the point of death, He could have chose some other way to redeem mankind, He could have just looked down at the miserable life of VERONICA and changed His mind, but He looked at her and kept walking submitting Himself to die on the cross. I'm so glad He chose to get in the position to die for me, it's hard enough trying to have true friends these days, let alone someone willing to die for ME!
Women of purpose when they show up in the most unlikely places, have a tendency to put people in awe, utter amazement, shock! They cannot figure out after all you've done, why you would have the audacity to show your face in the "holy place"
This "sinner" woman was born for this, her sole purpose and position was to be at the feet of Christ and weep, the custom was for the host to wash the dusty feet of his guest and anoint them with oil because of drying out from the desert heat, well Simon did neither of these.
Fulfilling your purpose will make others see who they are.
None were prepping Jesus, then here comes this woman, A SINNER! She submitted to His authority, soverignity, headship, divinity. she was kingdom minded, they were on a power trip.
When you know your purpose and your position you don't need to be applauded, celebrated or even the most preferred choice. No one wants the low seat.
Jesus said, what she has done shall be unto her a memorial, so leave her alone! Can He say the same about you?
*don't cave in, give in and call it quits so quickly.
*keep walking in the midst of whispers.
*don't run from the enemy.
*see the enemy coming and will not hesitate one moment to kill him, like Jael did (Judges 4:17)
*they don't live in the welfare, foodstamp and government cheese lines.
*they are not in the give me, lend me, let me borrow lines.
*they have taken that ONE word that they heard and still running with it.
*don't allow a setback keep them from their comeback.
*see the invisible, do the unthinkable, believe the unseen and do the impossible.WOMEN WHO SUBMITTED:
God is a God of if and then, if you be willing and obedient, then you will eat the good of the land....
If my people which are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, then will I....
God is not going to bless disobedience and noncompliance. You've got to submit. His way or the highway.
This woman was not the first nor the last to be recorded to submit:
1. Mary, the mother of Jesus at the wedding of Cana, John 2:3-5 (she could have pulled out the HMIC card and used her maternal authority, but even that don't work when it comes to Jesus.)
2. Wife of Noah, getting on a contraption, no one ever seen or heard of, to prepare for something that had never happened. She never becked or questioned his authority. Gen. 7:1, 7; 6:18. (she never argued about what Gofer wood was and/or why he had to call and wait for all creeping, flying, stinking animal, two of each kind!)
3. Esther, although preparing for queenship, wouldn't have made it if she didn't submit. She submitted, got a name change, a crown, a seat in the palace, grace and favor. Esther 2 (a woman willing to die to fulfill her purpose and be in position on behalf of her people.)
4. Vashti, the queen who would not submit and was quickly dethroned. All because she would not do as her husband asked. Esther 1:16-22 (she probably thought that because she was already the queen that she could do what she wanted, wrong!)
5. Ruth, submitted to Naomi, her mother in law after her husband was dead and buried. Ruth 1:16-17, 3:1-5. (it's almost unbearable to deal with the mother while the husband is alive, but here all the men were dead, but because she submitted, God had a wealthy man set up waiting on her.)
6. The virtuous woman submits and knows her purpose, or else she'd never gain the respect of her family. Proverbs 31.
7. Eve, had to finally submit to her hardheaded husband Adam, (even at the point of eviction, rejection and of being one of the first to be put on death row.) Gen 3:22-24
8. Hagar had to submit and go back to that old, mean, bitter, jealous, discombobulated Sarai, pregnant and not. Gen 16:4-14. (even though this pregancy was not a part of the original plan of God, God still blessed her for her continual submission, even in an adverse situation, even when she was under a constant watch and constantly was facing homelessness at the beck and call of crazy Sara.)
9. Even Mrs. Job had to submit after losing everything, (and you thought Job was the one who had to learn patience). But God gave them double in the end. Job 2:10; 42:10 (Let Job in the year 2005 tell his wife Shimeika that she sound foolish, brother gotta fight, head and neck get to turning and eyes rolling, finger snapping, hands on the hips. This new generation wife had better learn quick, God has not changed His word for her and no one else.)
